HOT, SWOLLEN, PAINFUL BOILS... IS THERE ANYTHING WORSE?

skin abacessNo matter where you get them, boils (also known as skin abscesses) are difficult to deal with, and they usually erupt in the worst possible places—under your arms, along creases and skin folds, inside the thighs, on your face... just about anywhere... and they can be excruciating!

Boils are localized infections caused by bacteria or toxins that find their way into your skin and infect deep skin tissues. They often start out as reddened, boil skin abacess tender spots which then become hard, painful nodules that fill with white blood cells (pus) and form a "head." The skin surrounding a boil is often angry, red and extremely sensitive. If the boil does not erupt and drain in some cases the skin must be lanced by a physician to clean out the infection. Some people suffer from repeated outbreaks of boils (Furunculosis).

When a Hot Compress Isn't Enough...

boiling waterHealth practitioners often recommend using hot compresses on boils to "draw" the infection out, and may also prescribe an antibiotic—but there is a new, all-natural homeopathic treatment available that helps relieve boil symptoms... BoilX™ Homeopathic Spray.
BoilX™ is not a prescription or a topical ointment, but an easy-to-use combination of 7 natural homeopathic ingredients taken internally for safe relief of your symptoms. Just spray under your tongue, up to 3 times a day—it's that simple!

BoilX™ Homeopathic Spray Helps Relieve:

And BoilX can be safely used with other medications with no drowsiness or adverse side effects.

A UNIQUE HOMEOPATHIC BLEND

homeopathic doctorsHomeopathic doctors have been using the separate ingredients in BoilX™ to treat single symptoms of boils, carbuncles and other eruptive skin conditions for decades... but our experts in homeopathy have chosen a blend of these natural ingredients to help relieve a wider variety of symptoms in one, easy-to-use spray application. Here are just a few of the potent homeopathic ingredients in BoilX™:

  • Anthracinum: Used to treat swelling, pain and itching of Acne, Boils, Carbuncles and other pustules.
  • Baptisia Tinctora (Wild Indigo): Once a treatment for Typhoid Fever, Baptisia (especially when combined with Echinacea) helps fight the achy, flu-like symptoms that can sometimes accompany boils and other eruptions.
  • Hepar Sulphur; A sulfur compound used to treat painful skin conditions where inflammation causes sensitivity to touch and extreme soreness.

  • Comments about this video:
I want to see what happens when you boil water in pressure & vacuum tanks (to simulate deep sea and ultra high altitudes) and then rapidly return the pressure to normal. What would happen if you would put water into a complete vacuum? Would it freeze or would it vaporize?you do realise that the original uploader of this video, just sent it to head squeeze, and now head squeeze are showing it... that's not copying. that's sharing.
In space, atmospheric pressure is so low (there is none) that water cannot be in liquid form and evaporates/boils (not sure which one) immediately. All this under the assumption that i remember my science class correctly.
At 01:23 you seem to suggest that it takes longer to boil... Is that just because of the surrounding weather conditions or is it again because of altitude?
"Boohoo comment telling you this isn't new, as if all videos have to be new information" Carry on.

this is my country Nepali. thumbz up for mount everest... remember a fact: gautam buddha was born in nepal.

ok, but i remember if you boil water in a microwave it boils the first time only, the second time it will boil only if you add sugar or coffee etc, i saw it in mythbusters. you should check it out.

/watch?v=ZAqqpDF4bVw&list=WL2I-FF5TNsvKo-tQfe-FLIBtgcUTJ369a8 Check it! I'll have the answer in top comments :d.
It's like the entire of Britian went up Everest recently. There were even news of "traffic" and "congestions" en route to the top on BBC News.hey guys, didn't spot Brady had done a (brilliant) video on this a few weeks ago. Great minds think alike eh! We both must have been in the Himalayas at the same time too, small world! I was up there for another project, joining a group of doctors and scientists living at Base Camp for two months doing some amazing research [vid on my page re that] so just did a few bonus experiments for Head Squeeze while I was there. Will be another HS video coming soon with the other altitude experiments.I think they did something like that in a department of mechanical physic or some crap in Germany this year, only with like 100,000 atoms in a vacuum chambers. However, we will be speaking of negative nanokelvin. It was a research for possible heat engine with over 100% efficiency, from what I understood. I think there is too much effort for the gain at that point in time to talk about negative absolute temperatures.
absolute zero will never be realized as heat can be transferred through anything coming in contact with the object you are trying to freeze.
Water would freeze instantly at that temp. Water boils (in a vacuum) at 0 degrees. Pretty cool if you think about it.
You might be familiar with how rising temperature causes things to simply put - grow. This is because it increases the oscillation of particles - that do harmonic vibration - inside that structure, causing it occupy greater space. At absolute zero, this harmonic vibration would theoretically cease to happen, therefore shrinking the structure to 0 collision.
So, if i'd travel several hundret meters down the earth, would that move the boiling point above 100c?Yeah I don't think that it's boiling by itself that kills microorganisms, but heat (destabilizing membranes, proteins etc...). If it's not hot enough, it might not kill microorganisms (even though I'm pretty sure that something that is fragile enough to die at 97°C can also die at 81 or whatever), however if boiling of water INSIDE the microorganism can kill it (I don't know, maybe by making the microorganism explode from the inside) then it would still work :). The exact temperature needed depends on the specific microorganism you want to kill, so it's kind of hard to say. Some will die at 75 degrees Celsius some at 100 but some might survive even higher temperatures.I think no because that the temperature to kill bacterias and the temperature to boil water at normal atmosphere are the same is just coincident.Depends on the micro-organisms, but the state of the water is irrelevant, if the water is boiling at 82'C, and the micro-organism can withstand that temperature, so be it.I'm glad you asked this, boy638. In fact, it will not necessarily kill microorganisms because of the boiling. As altitude increases, like being 1,000m versus 35000m above sea level, atmospheric pressure decreases which is why the boiling point goes down. In fact, you could boil water at much lower temperatures just by connecting a vacuum to the pot with no heat element. That being said, many organisms that live in extreme cold temps(top of Everest) cannot survive in warm temperatures anyway.no, because the temperature is what kills them not the boiling effect. Bacteria will still live if u don't kill them with enough heat.
If the boiling water don't kill them, then they will probably die from the extreme temperatures (Low temperatures) or the altitude.
its a standard experiment thats taught in most high schools to show the relation between boiling point and pressure. And they stole it from someone else. It's an old experiment dating back decades. Do try to keep up old boy...A lot of people have done this experiment whether on the internet on the TV, nobody can claim this as an original idea. It's not "stealing", its science. They do the same thing as someone else and add their result to the knowledge-pool of that subject. What is the difference in fuel consumption between sea level and Everest base camp? How do you keep that type of fuel in it's vapor state when the air temperature is so low?0:55 You have done literally nothing so far save start to boil some water, and you hit us with a huge command to subscribe. A little too forthcoming, no?The green subscribe annotation is intrusive and distracts from the video. Please stop using it so frequently.I'm going to be "that guy" and ruin your joke, I'm sorry :( As your blood is contained inside your body, and your body doesn't swell up (much) as the pressure goes down, there's still enough pressure exerted upon your blood to keep its boiling point relatively high.
You don't prove science using maths. You can sit and theorise and do calculations all day, and that is a very important part of the process, but it's not science until you prove it by showing that the maths works.
on second thought... send Greg down Boulby Mine in England... some 1400 metres below the North sea. Cheaper and closer to home.Greg needs to go to The Dead Sea and do the same experiment below sea level. Headsqueeze seems to have plenty of cash... just a small detour on his way home.
there was actual video where periodic videos explain that as well. Also checked how precise was the thermometer, here they used thermo-couple from the start.

oh for fuck sake i already subscribed to you guys you dont need to put a button in the video ever 15 seconds.
2:03 - 3:22 it must have been horrible saying all those words at 5300 meters above sea level. I became exhausted just listening ti you! Good luck, by the way, on reaching the top of Everest. Be careful! Is that really a good enough reason to down-vote this video? I mean, this guy obviously went all the way to Nepal to climb Mt. Everest and took the time to conduct this experiment while he was there. He even used a more exact measuring system which yielded better results than the experiment conducted by Brady for Periodic Videos. Doesn't he then have every right to share the discoveries from his expedition?because you need massive amounts of equipment, stamina and skill to get up there you need oxygen tanks for example... without one you suffocate up there in a matter of minutes and you know how many PROFESSIONAL (which this guy is not) climbers died on everest ? to give you a bit of perspective, every climber headed for the top of Everest finds an average of 6 dead climbers who didnt make it so yeah risking your life for some you tube video is maybe not worth it. There is another thing, especially on Everest - if the water boils, it does not mean it's hot. But I guess it's obvious. At near the top of Mt. Everest, water might boil at 50 degrees C, but you need 100 to get yer beans cookin' :D.
actually, that's just what happens when you try to reply to someone while on an IPhone. you click reply but it just does the 2 symbol thing.

Surely he should just have pressed the 'reply' button? Since 2 mentions don't have any effect on Youtube.
At the top of mount Everest, water boils at around 70C. Although it boils faster it will take longer for food to cook, so it's a disadvantage to live in high places when it comes to cooking food in water. :).
The green rectangle will still show even with annotations off (mine are always off), only the "clickable" outline disappears... I'm with UrAvgGamer, it's a bit overkill. I love you Head Squeeze, I've been a subscriber since Day One, but keep the subscribing thing at the end of the vid, not while something interesting is happening! Keep up the good work!
Blood open to the vacuum would boil for that reason yes, but the blood in your body is contained pretty effectively within your vasculature, so would not boil in actuality.Your blood doesn't start to boil. The air in your lungs gets sucked out, you lose consciousness, and then die. The pressure of your blood itself is enough to not make it boil. Fluids, like water, need less heat to boil in a vacuum. Space is a vacuum. You, concerning the video, were talking about height (altitude) here. I don't know wether or not there is an "altitude" in space. Can someone answer that? Could we talk about altitudes in space, when there is no real below or above?I have heard many different theory's about what happens to the human body in space, and I believe that you blood can boil if it is exposed to space. As you said all the air in your lungs gets sucked out and any water vapor on in your mouth, ect, will boil due to space having such a low pressure. Your lungs collapsing will probably be enough to break the lung and throat walls allowing your blood to boil. But you would have already blacked out and died by then :D.
As your your altitude question, the science in the video only really uses pressure, but on earth altitude = lower pressure. Pressure continues up into space and beyond but I don't really know about altitude. I guess it does if you reference it to an object or point. So you could be at an altitude of 100 light-years above the north pole? Good question.
Funny, Periodic Video's (or one of it's siblings) did a video about this exact same subject! Just didn't use a proper thermometer. :).
